has been Janine’s primary mentor for many years now. Prior to retiring, Sarah guided clients from around the world on her home waters of the Deerfield, Westfield and Swift Rivers in Massachusetts, as well as the Upper Connecticut River in Pittsburg, New Hampshire. Most who know Sarah understand there are few guides with her level of expertise, enthusiasm and warm personality. She is a role model to many guides – men and women alike!

Susan Damone Balch's fly fishing and leadership skills have been an inspiration to many over the years.  She was the program director for Casting for Recovery for 7 years, during which she touched the lives of hundreds, if not thousands of women while introducing them to the sport of fly fishing. In addition to being a talented fly fisher and dynamic woman who is a friend to many, she is a superb quilt artist who creates stunning quilt masterpieces – many with unique fishing themes like you will find nowhere else. Vicki and Kara LaneMike Lane

Vicky Lane is another talented artist and good friend who creates – Vicky’s Fishies clothing with incredible fishing themes. Her daughter, Kara, is the youngest of the bunch of “Fishing Sisters” who is also a talented instructor. Mike Lane owns Knee Deep Guide Service ( 315- 469-6417 or ) offering guiding and instruction on the Delaware or Salmon Rivers.  The Lanes are a family who love to fish together and equally enjoy sharing their love of the sport with others of any age or ability.

Kiki GalvinKiki Galvin has been fly fishing for more than 40 years.  In 2002 she was certified by Reel Women Adventures in Idaho as a professional fly fishing guide and she is now sharing her passion for the sport with other anglers.  Hoping to encourage other women to become more engaged in fly fishing, she is on staff for Casting for Recovery and has served as the past president of the Chesapeake Women Anglers ClubShe is also a fly fishing instructor with L.L. Bean’s Outdoor Discovery Schools and Project Healing Waters, which teaches fly fishing to wounded and disabled military personnel.
